This motorcycle tour takes you in the best areas of Western and Central Anatolia. Journeying through the west and along the Aegean coast we discover the wonderful history of the Lycian period before travelling south and seeing such places as Ephesus and Pamukkale. As we turn south towards the Mediterranean we ride some of the best biking roads in Turkey before heading east towards central Anatolia to explore the unequalled fairytale landscape of Cappadocia.

TOUR PLAN ↓
Day 1 - Istanbul - Arrival Day
Arrival at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, meet and greet by a fully qualified tour guide followed by a direct transfer to your hotel. Meet your riding buddies at the welcome cocktail held in the popular rock bar Shaft.
Day 2 - Istanbul – Canakkale (Dardanelles)
Ride over the Bosphorus bridge to European Istanbul to visit the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque on the historical peninsula. Following group lunch we hit the road to towards Gallipoli peninsula. Stop and gather at ANZAC Cove and see the ceremonial grounds. Ride to the hostel for overnight. BBQ and beach party ! Total ride: 6 hours
Day 3 - Bergama (Pergamon)
Today we hit the road to Pergamon via Troia the home of the legendary wooden horse. Need to cross the Dardenelles on ferry to continue 1 hour ride to the first sight. Following the ride along the Agean cost and olive groves we’ll take the Kozak road through the pine forrests to our destination. Total ride: 4 hours.
Day 4 - Seljuk (Ephesus) - Pamakkale
Start the day with a 2 ½ hour ride to Ephesus the world famous archeological site from the Roman era. On own lunch stop in Seljuk town followed by a 3 hour ride to ancient Hierapolis. Today known as Pamukkale this well known Spa resort will recover you from the 1 hour country road ride at the end of the day, with its hot thermal pools. Following dinner, Efes Pilsen Beer Party. Dinner and overnight at Pam Thermal Resort Hotel. Total ride: 6 hours
Day 5 - Pamukkale - Cappadocia
Long riding day. Leaving the hotel after breakfast we head towards the sophistic city of the Whirling Dervish, Rumi. Following the visits of once the school of the Sufi sect and the tomb of the great philosopher we follow through the grain plantations of the Konya plane into the majestic land of Cappadocia. On the way, stop by the 800 years old Sultanhan Caravanserai for a break. Total ride: 7-8 hours
Day 6 - Cappadocia
Ride starts in the morning from the hotel. Firstly, you will visit the Devrent Valley housing various types of fairy chimneys. Among these are those with caps, cones, mushroom like forms, pillars and pointed rocks. We will take a walk through this amazing valley. Then, you will visit Pasabagları (Monk’s Valley) where you will see many fairy chimneys with multiple stems and caps, this style being unique to this area. A chapel dedicated to St. Simeon and a Hermit's shelter is built into one such fairy chimney with three heads. After visiting Pasabag, we will ride to Avanos which is known for the pottery, a craft dating back to the Hittite period. The red clay which is worked by local craftsmen comes from the residue in the Kizilirmak river. Kizilirmak, which divides Avanos into two, is Anatolia's longest river. And we will have a rest to have lunch in a local restaurant. After having lunch, we will proceed to Goreme Open Air Museum where this religious education once started. You will visit the churhces, chapels and monasteries carved into the fairy chimmeys from the 10th to the 13th centuries with frescos painted on the walls. Before returning back to our hotel, we will have ride up to the Uchısar Castle that is the highest point in the region.
Day 7 - Cappadocia
For the early risers and the adventurists ( which rider is not ! ) this morning there is the ballooning option over the magical valleys of Cappadocia. Said to be the second best ballooning experience one could have in a lifetime. Info given below.
Firstly, you will have a ride from Red Valley to the Kaymakli Underground City where early Christians did hide and live in fear and faith. From here we will have an hours ride to the Ihlara Valley. A very pleasant ride will take us through the Turkish villages to another early Christian settlement. After the riverside lunch we’ll stroll in the valley stretching our legs for the 2 hour ride back to Urgup. On the way back to the hotel, you will stop at Pigeon Valley where you will see where the pigeons where trained and kept while being used as the post pigeons. Also you will enjoy a wonderful panoromic view and the famous Cappadocia Sunset. Total ride: 5 hours
Day 8 - Cappadocia - Ankara
Checkout from our hotel and start the ride to the Turkish Capital via Salt lake, the second biggest in Turkey. Lunch stop en route. Upon arriving to Ankara pay tribute to Ataturk, the father of modern Turkey, together with the motorcycle club “ Anatolian Tigers “ visiting the Mausoleum. Check in to our hotel for a rest and dinner before getting on our bikes again for touring Ankara at night with the local bikers. Total ride: 5 hours
Day 9 - Seljuk (Ephesus) - Pamakkale
Late morning departure from hotel, hitting the road towards the Bolu Mountains. Picnic lunch and BBQ by the Abant Lake in the chestnut forests. Following the long break get on the bikes for Istanbul.
Day 10 - Departure
Clear with hotel and organization committee. Individual and group transfers to the airport regarding your return flights and destinations.
